It seems that Sephiroth 3d was just off doing other things...as I was. I probably broke a finger when playing soccer with friends this weekend. After I tripped and my friend stepped right on my hand, I stood up and slipped on the ball, somehow injuring my foot. And then I spat water which was in my mouth at the time for a defense mechanism all over another friend's pants. Later on two of us pulled out the duct tape, wrapping the others in it, and we all managed to take down 2 shelves in his garage during this process. Well, that doesn't matter.
For awhile I was convinced that Seph3d drowned in the shower after slipping on the soap, but I guess I'm wrong. Thank goodness that didn't happen.
I'll be waiting, 3d man! |

Heh, Nori and I were playing when my campus internet went out for about 20 minutes. It affected my roommates computer too, so I'm pretty sure it was some kind of network problem.
Anyway, thanks Nori. |

Im not sure what other people feel about this idea, but what if we were to play a chess game on zsnesdos multiplayer. It would be full screen so you cant cheat, you could also record movies so you could post it and someone else could watch it later, and you dont have to register crap at yahoo. (Not to mention the fact every time I use java, things get really screwed up)
Either way, its just a suggestion... |

Well, as long as I don't have problem with opponent's Computer
(Firewall, Internet Connection & Speed...)

What about Alt + Tab, Alt + Esc, Win + D, Win + M? i think if people are going to cheat they are going to cheat.. I just dont dig games that last hours.. Nori if i wind up against you we should have a time limit.. 3 min a move.. or 15 min for the game.. i would rather 15 min for the game.. but who knows if i will be up against you anyway |

I think that people who would cheat on Yahoo! would cheat on ZSnes. Plus, ZSnes netplay can be kinda slow over the internet, and it wouldn't work for me at all because of this firewall. And if you get disconnected, I think the game may reset if you reconnect. I still think Yahoo! (or some other online game meant for the computer) is the best choice. It's easy to get the game history from Yahoo! as well. And then, Nori's right.. its technically not legal to play on ZSnes unless you own the original game.
I think most everyone should already have a Yahoo! account for some reason or another.
I don't have a problem with a time limit. I don't think there should be one unless both players are ok and agree on it.
P.S. I updated the bracket at

20 to 25 minute initial time or no time limit will do, but this tournament are based on no time limit...
How about it???
Qhimm.com Advanced Chess Tournament (Initial Time)???
Qhimm.com Intermediate Chess Tournament (No Time Limit)??? |

Why set time limit? To avoid cheating?
I have to agree with Cadd, those who want to cheat are going to cheat... and there's no honour in cheating IMO.
Besides, I have to admit I sometimes take my time before I make a move because I'm that slow. I hate time limits.... and I'm certainly not a professional player. |

If you dont want a time limit for this one thats fine.. but a time limit IMHO is a way to curb any cheating too.. if you have a 15 min time limit you could hardly have an application and alt+tab to check it out.. 10 min would probably be even better.. a 10 min blitz.. but i doubt anyone here would go for 10 minutes.. I dont mind the no time limit thing in real life.. thats cool because you can talk over the board about stuff.. and well its just different.. No time limit online and i am twiddling my thumbs but as i said its fine.. i dont mind.. |

Personally, I think a 5 min per move rule would suffice but like Nori said that should be for a possible advanced bracket. I think whoever cheats is nothing but a loser and has no respect for themselves. I'm out for now.

| 15-20 minutes on game ? Cant be. When i play with my bro we can't cut it under 35-40 minutes, you have to think on moves a little. (thats also why i dont like chess much, it takes too long) |

I still think we should hold a Go tournament too! But I have no idea if anyone would be interested, especially when people are already complaining about the length of chess games... |

Go is a completely different game than Reversi right? If so, then I have no clue how to play Go. I know Reversi though. Reversi might be a cool idea for a tourney, or maybe not. Catch ya later!

Caddberry: Go is an old Chinese game I think, easy to learn (apparently) but it takes many years to master.
How about a good old game of Checkers on MSN 6! Or Minesweeper Flags! |

Never played Go before, though I've read the rules and it is quite similar to a game that I always play in class during my Primary/Secondary school in Malaysia (Using grid paper). Nevertheless it is still different.
I do know how to play Chinese Chess though. But again, like chess I'm not really that good in Chinese Chess (Though I've beaten my chinese teacher in a game once in school ) |
