Alright, we're thinking we might throw in a 20 min time limit to make it a little more interesting. The time limit is configurable in Yahoo! games, and setting it to 20 just means that each player has 20 minutes of total time to think about their moves before they lose. So you win if you get the opponent in checkmate, or if his timer runs out.

Nori and I played a game with the 20 minute limit. She won, of course, but it seemed like plenty of time.

Does anyone think that 20 minutes is too short? Remember, your timer only runs down when its your turn, so potentially, the game could last 40 minutes.

Anyway, we decided that we will publish the bracket a week before the tournament starts (you can arrange a time to play with your opponent in advance, important if you aren't online often). Which means its time for you all to sign up so we can work on the bracket! We are gonna have another 16-player tourney. I know a lot of you are gonna play, but if you don't mind, post here, IM me or Nori, or send an e-mail to aaron_kelley@vanguard.org so you can be officially added. If we get more than 16 entries... first come, first serve, extra people can be on stand-by in case someone drops out.

We use Yahoo to play. I'm not exactly sure what Four-Star is. But if you have a yahoo account your set.

Not to be a pest or anything...but when is this tourny going to get kicked off?? I saw something about a week or 2 from Oct. 8, and today is the 20th. Let me know.
